General Inquiries

What is RedDot Culture?
The RedDot Culture is a carefully curated online marketplace of accessible artwork by talented artists. It is also a resource for learning about art and discovering your tastes. It’s basically your art world spirit guide.

Why should I buy from RedDot?
Art doesn’t have to be so serious! Our platform is relaxed, our advisors and curators are knowledgeable and friendly, and we offer thoughtfully selected quality artwork that you will be proud to own.

Does RedDot have a physical store location?
No, we only exist online right now, but sign up for our emails for updates on events throughout the year.

Where does the name RedDot come from?
Traditionally, galleries will put a small red dot next to pieces that are sold. While we pay homage to this practice with our name, that is the only thing traditional about RedDot. Our name invites you to join those who love and collect art, a group we call “The RedDot Culture".

How do I stay in the know about new RedDot releases and events?
Just fill out our contact form in the footer! (P.S. We will never share your information with anyone.)

How do I get in touch with you?
If you have a specific question, please visit our contact page in the header so you know where to direct your query. We are also available at 215-828-7791 during business hours.

Art

How is art chosen for RedDot?
Our curators scour the globe for accessible, approachable artwork from artists working across all mediums. Want to submit your work? Please email us at artists@reddotculture.com.

What is a limited edition print?
A limited edition is a fixed number of prints. Each print will be hand signed and numbered with both the number in order of creation and the total number of works (for example: 4/30 means the work is number 4 of a total of 30). When we sell through an edition, that’s it, it’s sold out forever ever! Limited edition prints tend to be more valuable than open run prints.

What is an open edition print?
An open edition has an unlimited amount of availability. There is no limit on the quantity of prints. RedDot does not sell open edition prints. We only sell limited edition and original works.

Why do some pieces have an edition listed and others don't?
The edition number denotes the number of pieces printed. Artworks without a listed edition are one of a kind.

Will my art purchases increase in value?
The lack of transparency in the current art world makes buying for an assured financial return virtually impossible. RedDot is firm in its belief that you should buy work because you love it. We do not guarantee a return on your financial investment.

Should I insure my new artwork?
Many homeowner and renter insurance will cover your artwork in the event of theft or damage. Be sure to check with your existing policy.

How do I know my new artwork is authentic?
All works are signed by the artist and all prints are also numbered. In addition, each piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by our founder, Lily Stone, which will help to authenticate the work down the road.

What do the dimensions mean?
Many prints and works on paper have a margin and the dimensions listed indicate the size of the paper and not necessarily the size of the actual image.

Does RedDot offer framing?
We’re working on it! In the meantime, please reach out to info@reddotculture.com for framing suggestions or help finding a local framer.

Can I commission a custom work from an artist?
For custom projects, please reach out to info@reddotculture.com to discuss commissioned artwork. Please note all custom artworks require a 50% deposit upfront.

What do the red dots mean?
Often galleries will mark sold works with small red stickers. We do the same! Images with red dots have been sold.

Orders, Shipping, and Returns

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment via Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

How do you ship my artwork?
We use UPS, FedEx, and USPS depending on your location. All domestic shipping is free!

Can I return my piece if I don't like it?
Please note we typically do not offer refunds or returns except in the case of damaged items. That said, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please don't hesitate to contact us at help@reddotculture.com within 14 days of receiving your order and we will do everything in our power to make it better.

My purchase arrived damaged. What should I do?
Oh no! Contact us immediately if your work arrived damaged and we will work to replace it or refund your money.

How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?
Your purchase should arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Do you ship internationally?
Of course! Please be as detailed as possible when filling out your address on the shipping page. An additional shipping charge will be added for all international purchases. Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for international shipments to arrive.

I purchased more than one piece. Will they arrive together?
We will try our hardest to group work together into the smallest number of shipments but sometimes multiple works will arrive separately.
